Mobility solutions start-up Taxi’na has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a new funding round from Navyug Global Ventures.
The proceeds will be deployed to scale its unique, sustainable ride-hailing model, creating a level playing field for both drivers and passengers while empowering happy micro-entrepreneurs in the sector, Taxi’na said in a press release.
Launched by Pinku Bharathi, Taxi’na aims to transform India’s ride-hailing ecosystem with a zero-commission model, ensuring drivers keep 100% of their earnings while offering fair pricing to passengers. The platform empowers drivers, promotes transparency, and builds a sustainable mobility ecosystem.
According to the Chennai based company, it offers a franchise-like opportunity. Drivers simply pay a fixed monthly subscription fee, which grants them unlimited access to the full Taxi’na ecosystem and technology, with no hidden deductions or surprise fees. This approach eliminates the daily uncertainty about take-home pay, giving drivers complete clarity.
Taxi’na claims that it is the only platform with an LOI to operate auto services in Chennai. With over 45,000 drivers and more than 75,000 passengers, it currently operates in Chennai, Salem, Tiruppur, Erode, and Coimbatore.
